Black ops is intense. Very bourbon like. Let me know about 1000 IBU and hop breakfast. They're on my radar.
black ops seems up my alley. I almost picked up 1000 ibu but picked up the sur monk next to it. Hop breakfast sounds great but i doubt it can beat weasel as far as morning beer goes.

That is great! We are truly sick people.

Polishing off a Bell's Kalamazoo Stout. Another winner.

FBD - SN Ruthless Rye IPA

Fine beer. Reminds me of the Racer 5 Hop Rod Ale.

Cheers.

Haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like a beer I'd like. Soon.

Final beer of the day is a Bell's Java Stout. Coffee, coffee, coffee and not much else. This is my least favorite of the Bell's/Goose Island offerings I've sampled tonight.

How are the goose island beers? I will be touring their brewery in a few months.

Only tried 2 of them so far (Christmas Ale and Matilda), but both were excellent.

Damn, that means i wont like it. Tetu, dont buy a black ops, you can have mine. I like a little bourbon flavor, but not an intense bourbon flavor.

At Southern Star Brewing:
FBD - Buried Hatchet Stout
SBD - Le Mort Vivant

Once home:
TBD - Rahr & Sons Stormcloud IPA
FBD - Shiner Wild Hare Pale Ale

The Shiner was better than I expected. I hope it becomes as easy to find in establishments as Bock is

Really looking forward to that surmonk though.

Thanks. I'll put a 3 days towards the balance.

just read up on it. 4 months in woodford reserve barrels. I'm going to enjoy that, but I may just hold onto it until football season.

I guess somebody is going to have to step up to the plate and have a breakfast beer and start today's FBD thread.

ETA: can't be me because I need to head to the office to get some work done.

hate this. We need to update thread title when the thread is still going or maybe a weekly fbd ongoing thread
