FBD, it’s been a hell of a ten day stretch fellas. So last week I come down with a touch of the flu for about five days. Too much work to do so I gut it out, I'm a gamer.

Well, on Saturday I start getting bad pains in my teeth and chin. I know this feeling. I broke two teeth with a tennis racket when I was about 14. 10 years later they died and I needed a double root canal. This was the same feeling.

I knew that's what it was but there were no dentists I could go to so for the rest of the weekend I had to deal with the worst throbbing pain in my jaw. If you offered to rip my jaw off I would have considered it. I had some hydroxycodone/acetominophen pills from an old script and they didn't even help.

Finally get on antibiotics on Monday, they don't start working until Wednesday. So when I get into the endodontist I'm too swollen for him to perform the root canals...so he just opened the teeth up to let the pressure and infection escape and cleaned out the old work. He thinks the flu triggered this infection in the previously "root canaled" teeth.

In the process one of the previous caps broke off so I've got 1/3 of a tooth and two holes open that go down into my jaw. I'll be like this until we get back from California in just over a week. Good times.
