I thought the same thing. I enjoyed it but didnt realize it was going to have such a light body

If you ever see their pure joi mellow dubbel try it out. Their most complex beer to date. Only on tap for now though.

I used to drink the shite out of lost coast when i lived in humboldt, my buddy used to work there. Downtown brown was always my favorite.

Kim, I think you've got a thing for chocolate. You will be when winter ends.

Went to the Cove as Tom was supposed to have his taps open for the first time, but he said his supplier didn't send the CO2. I told him to break out the hand pumps and we'd draw our own, but he didn't seem amused.

Went on a Bourbon flight instead, inspired by Dr. Beardface's recent reviews. Had Black Maple Hill, Rock Hill Farms, Willet (12 year) and Pappy Van Winkle 12 year ($60 a shot for the 23 was too much even for an OT baller like me). BMH and PVW were the smoothest, with the Willet having a peat/smoke flavor more reminiscent of a scotch I've had, but can't place. All were excellent-an investment in a bottle or two of these appears imminent.

In any case, Tom said he will have several Mikkeller's tapped by midweek. He is also planning to start opening earlier once all his remodeling is finished (he's thinking 3 or 4:00). Would be nice to be able to roll up in there before the current opening at 6:00.

SBD and TBD were these two.

Final of the day was SN ovilia Quad. Didn't get a picture but it was very dark colored. I thought it was one of the better quads I've had. Finished a little sweet, but nice late at night. No sign of 10.4% anywhere.
