Ron, pseudosue vs Envie...who ya got? Did a head to head super bowl Sunday and I preferred the Envie. It's a shame that the Iowa bombers and the Florida cans of sue are completely different. Not that the cans are bad, just not on the level of the bombers.

Word is they want to stay exclusive to high end outlets, mainly restaurants.
I don't believe the brewery ever directly stated this. It was just reported early on by a blogger. To the contrary, seems like they sent a good bit of beer to retail locations in the Nola metro area and the Northshore. The head brewer comes off as pretty eccentric, so who knows where they are headed.

FBD was a Jester King Hibernal Dichitomous 2015.
This is the beer they brewed with beets and the color has changed drastically since it was released last year. It used to be a bright pink/red. I really thought I had grabbed the wrong beer at first or got confused, but verified it with previous check-ins on untappd.
Here's is a pic from May of last year.

Last BD was Ghost at Olive or Twist.
Thanks to everyone who came out for Iron Brewer, we had a great time.

That is strange UT, assuming a lot of sediment now?

Fed-got a care package from my Fat Heads folks in the Steel City. They used to talk this beer up but I refused to be in the North East January and February so I never got to try it. @10 days old it is pretty damn nice. I am surprised but I actually miss my trips up to that part of the world.

Envie for me. Ps is great, but envie has so much more going on.
I have never had the bombers to compare to though, I actually just found out about the Florida thing from reading the can

Didn't really notice that one way or the other. Hard to compare the "haziness" with the color being so different.

I think it was about the same. Maybe a little less citrus and a little more funk, if anything.

Posted on 2/21/16 at 11:29 am to No8Easy2
