And i don't consider Alexander's to be Pville.. that's BR as far as I'm concerned. If I drive to Alexander's I may as well go to Calandro's, considering I'm in Dutchtown. basically I'm going to Hokus Pokus if I'm going shopping for beer unless I'm already in BR.

Because the selection is pitiful. Honestly would put Winn Dixie above them and that isn't saying much.
As stated Leblanc's and believe it or not Tureaus out in east east Pville have a better selection.

I tasted it when I went on Brew tour and figured I could pick up a 4pack. It isn't bad that is for sure and an easy drinking beer

I don't think you're appreciating just how close I am to Hokus Pokus..

It taste like Abita Amber to me, I sampled it while on tour and it isn't bad but nothing special. Fightin Tigers was drinking it earlier

IMO Alexander's has enough where I do not need to go to Calandro's anymore... theyhave all of the same "new releases" and a few that I like. That may just be me though but they've done a lot to improve their selection

maybe so.. idk i haven't been there. I'm just saying Hokus Pokus is right down the street from me.

Yeah and it isn't bad but Alexander's has 3x selection right now after my last visit. I go to Alexander's and then hit Hokus before I head home from Gonzales right now. Not good for my wallet but OK for my beer selection

FBD - Breckenridge Autumn Seasonal.

SBD Lazy Mag seasonal.
Nice, easy drinker. Some hop profile and bitterness but nothing really stands out. Does hide 8% well as mentioned earlier.

FBD is an Oud Beersel Geuze.
Nice, well-balanced geuze. Not quite as complex as Cantillon or Tilquin. Could use a little more on the finish, but I'm nit-picking. Bubbly, lemony fruit, a little oak and funk. Very good geuze. Will buy again.

What are some good Belgians readily available in the Nola area?
Anything by Unibroue or Ommegang. Unibroue and Ommegang make the best Belgian style stuff this side of the Atlantic.

I'd add Duvel to KJI's list. Duvel is a great beer.
