Curious about the Elysian Fields in particular.

I'll certainly let everyone know how these are for any future online buying ventures.

speaking of letspour, i got an email from them advertising a new "beerbox" monthly beer delivery program.... seems freakin awesome.

eh, I'm not big into those kinds of things where I pay an upfront fee but don't know what I'm getting. $50 I think it was for 6-10 beers a month? I paid $44 for those 8 and was able to do research on them and get an idea if I'll like them.

If the beers they send out are up to par with the quality of the beers in the advertisement, it should be well worth it.

They said it was only beers with >90 BA ranking

I saw that yesterday too, but after thinking about it, will probably stay away. To me, the upside is that when they get stuff like Parabola, you probably get it, instead of hoping you are fast with the fingers; the downside is if mid month you decide you want to order some stuff, you might end up getting duplicates or whatever (of something you aren't a big fan of) and they may use that as just an inventory unloader to some degree and be capturing new customers and give you stuff you tried years ago. If there's a price advantage, that's different, I didn't see one though. I prefer the flexibility of ordering my own stuff.

Off the bourbon wagon for this week. FBD SA Bishop's Barrel 3 at Chimes East. Needs to warm up based on drinking previous versions.

I tried to put together a 44 order because I wanted some Furious, but I just can't bring myself to pay all that shipping cost.

Nice haul BB. And a reminder that I've got some hops dying in the bottle that some of my FBD buddies need to come help rescue by drinking them to death

That's why you gotta build a big order. Shipping become justified the more you buy. Those benders and coffee benders came out to 4.10 a beer.

Not too bad IMO.

It's not bad if you order in bulk. I want to say 12 beers gives you your best shipping value. I paid around $20 in shipping, not bad for beers I've never had at the time (Surly, Bell's, Founder's, etc).

France 44 and Blackwell's are money.

FBD -

It's good. Smooth. But I think I'd rather more hoppier taste than maltier. Still an excellent beer. Thanks UrineTrouble

I computed my cost to be roughly 5.50 a beer (with 12 if those being 16 oz). I'm not mad about that given they came from 1500 miles away in timely, appropriate, newly fresh fashion.
