Maybe time for a backup fridge in the garage.

It was good to meet LSUBoo IRL. Hope to meet you soon for a FBD.

You're welcome, and a pleasure to meet you! I can get more of those in a couple weeks if you want. [/quote]

Yes, please. I'd like to try it side by side with a Stone SSR Ale. I finished it a little while ago. So good. Thanks.

I'll trade you for one. I have a magnum of the '11 waiting but still haven't tried it.

You can have one. I may have some others of interest for you too. Cigar City Jai Alai IPA, Great Divide Titan IPA, Bell's Amber Ale.

SBD: another Racer 5
TBD: NOLA 7th Street Wheat on tap at Chimes, definitely a winter spice to this one even though it's a Summer ale. Good beer though!
FBD: Abita Bourbon-barrel Vanilla Doubledog on cask at the Chimes, best Abita I've had in a while but I don't think I'd want more than one. Very rich.

Fin.

I've got a dedicated beer fridge, but it's only dorm fridge size. It currently has 34 bottles of 12 or 11.2 oz beers, 6 12 oz cans (Oskar Blues) and 10 bombers/750ml. Sounds big enough, right? I've got 40 bottles waiting to go in the fridge, half of which are Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout.

The more IPA's I try, the more I like the well balanced ones. Bell's Two Hearted Ale, Dogfish Head 90 Minute and Racer 5 are good examples. This one leaves such a bitterness on the palate that I actually get a little turned off by it.

I agree that it's not as well balanced, but it tastes and feels more like a west coast IPA. The hops just come through and kick you in the mouth. After all of the malty beers I've had lately it's a welcome change

I guess all the malty beers lately softened my palate.
