I've had meals in new orleans that were great...but I've had many average meals also and that includes the best of the best...
Is new orleans a great seafood town yes...but the food world does not revolve around new orleans....there are many great louisiana restaurants outside of new orleans...open your eyes there another world out there you are missing

I think most of the restaurants in the Orange Beach area are overpriced for what you get. But it's a beach town, and it's somewhat expected.

That said, my two favorite places there are The Gulf and Big Fish. Used to like Fisher's, but the last 2 times we've been there have been very underwhelming for the price point.
