fast food joints that don't open or serve lunch 'till 10:30

So, I got out of class an hour early today and decided to go ahead and eat lunch at 10 before going to work (please don't ridicule my choices...I wanted something fast and under $8). Went to McDonald's on Nicholson, pulled up, ordered a double quarter pounder meal, and the lady said they don't serve lunch 'till 10:30. I thought it might just be that location b/c it was so close to campus so I tried the McDonald's on Lee Dr...same thing. Only serving breakfast. Cane's is nearby and they don't serve breakfast, so it should be no problem, right? Wrong. They don't open 'till 10:30. I didn't feel like waiting 20 min for them to open, so I just went to Taco Bell (even though by the time I got there, the breakfast menu was still up). What do y'all think? Is 10:30 too late to serve lunch or even be a time of opening?
