Most likely not a expiration date on oil. It's either a Use By or Best By date. This is for quality assurance rather than food safety. Your odds are better if it's unopened.

It's fine to use, not going to kill you.

The concern with oil is that it may go rancid (teh problem with all oil). If it smells right, taste a bit on your finger. If it tastes ok it is not rancid and perfectly ok to use. Storing a previously opened bottle in a too hot location will make it go rancid more quickly.
