Past several times I have tried something new and I think it’s going to be my new way to go because it makes a damn good steak. I just stick with the standard salt and pepper but then I put it on my smoker and go low and slow until it hits the temp what I want internally(125). Then heat up a cast iron nice and hot to sear both sides. It gives the meat great flavor. Y’all got any other interesting ways to cook steak?

ETA: I know this is the reverse sear technique I figured it was better to explain than just saying reverse sear on a smoker.

That sounds awesome! It needs a name.

What about the inverted sear? Transposed sear? Backwards sear?

Yeah have done reverse sear multiple ways. I have tried the oven and Sous Vide but the smoker is definitely the best
