I like to marinate chicken and pork in Mojo for a day or two when making tacos. Has anyone ever marinated deer in it? I am thinking some thin sliced back strap. I don't know how good it is with venison or beef.

Yep. Goya Mojo marinade. I love the stuff on chicken and pork. Never had it on red meat. Don't want to waste a back strap if it doesn't work well.

Not back strap but a stuffed neck roast. DO IT! You will not be disappointed. Only thing I added to the mojo was granulated garlic. Marinated it overnight probably 14-16 hours. Seared the outside and slow roasted in the oven to finish.

BTW: If you are going with mass produced, I like the Badia better than Goya. The citrus/sour orange comes through more.

A Cuban marinade/sauce. Traditionally with crushed garlic, salt, pepper, cumino, sour orange juice, olive oil. Of course there are probably 1000 recipes with tweaks but that's the basics.

Such an underappreciated cut.
