Is the place on Florida and the one I'm always reading about on here one in the same? Looks kinda sketchy from the street.

It definitely does not look appealing from the street but it's a good place. i dont find it to be amazing but it's defintiely a good place to eat.

I think they suck and have always sucked.
If you are looking for mexican in that area just head east on florida, past airline. About a mile or so up on the right is El Rancho, in a old western sizzlin steakhouse bldg. Corner of Florida and Green Oaks. before sherwood forest blvd.. TOP NOTCH!!

Carlos is right on the corner of Florida and Airline. Great food.

i have enjoyed rio grande(carlos nephew) for years actually but it is basic,not gourmet like mestizos (his cousin),carlos(mestizos dad}.

Carlos just reopened in the same building he used to be in on the corner of airline and florida
