I don't know, R2R. You said these are your most trusted food friends. I have a whole different view, now. I'm in a daze over this news and it's effects are staggering. I may have to drink early to try and make sense of it all.

Pascal's BBQ shrimp are horrible. No flavor at all. I rank deanie's my top pick for BBQ shrimp.

Pascal's have no flavor and are floating mostly in oil, so yes, this is very true by miles and miles.
I have never been and was planning on trying it out soon. Really that bad?

I enjoyed them although it's not a cheap place. Great oyster bar though

Seriously, Afro, they simply are not good. The shrimp are beautiful and cooked very well, but the sauce is like dipping bread in oil with a few flecks of seasoning. I used to love them, but I'd swear they changed the recipe at some time or another. I went back for nostalgic reasons and I just couldn't even eat the shrimp which were swimming in flavorless oil. It amazed me.

But, the oysters rock rock. Excellent.

Yes. Terrible. There is no reason to go there except for the cool oyster bar.

Well damn. That's disappointing.

Best BBQ shrimp in the city at Mr. B's then?

I think they are very good at Mr. B's. I haven't eaten them at enough restaurants there to declare them to be the best in the city, but they are damn strong.

Same answer for me. I don't order them everywhere they're served, but Mr. B's are excellent and the recipe works well for the home cook if you ever want to make them.
