Downtown inner harbor. Phillips for seafood: boiled crabs that they mostly source from Nola.
Lots of options in the inner harbor area, all in walking distance from each other.

Or grab a burger and a beer at Pickles Pub across from Camden Yard.

O'Breckys for crabs

Went to Phillips before Rays-Orioles game last night. Crab cakes were awesome.
Going to Fell’s Point this morning. Will go to Pickles before tonight’s game.
Camden Yards is amazing. Still one of my favorites. Had not been to Baltimore in nearly ten years. It is sad what has happened to the downtown area. Not what I remembered.
Thanks for all the help.

Kokos Pub (up by Morgan State University- so not really downtown). The crab cakes are huge and great (expensive) but worth it. Cup of cream of Crab Soup also. Fells Point- Koopers.

We were in Baltimore last week and stayed a few blocks from Inner Harbor. That was my first visit and I was impressed with the area. There is a lot to do and lots of restaurants.
It was much better than I expected.
There were a few homeless people but nothing like you hear about in San Fran.
Maybe we were not in the downtown area that you were disappointed in, and I had no frame of reference.

Fells Point area is very nice and safe. Thames Street Oyster House was busy. Hostess there recommended Penny Black Bar for crab cakes. Crab cakes and crab soup there were very good.
I was referring to the downtown area about two blocks from the Inner Harbor. Just doesn’t feel safe anymore when compared with my last visit. Really dirty and sketchy feel. Camden Yards and Fells Point are still worth the visit, but we will stay in DC on our next trip to that area.
