I just drove by and there is a sign out front that says 'El Paso' coming soon.

We hardly knew ye.

That stretch must be hell on rent.

Arana was probably around 5 years or so. Long run for some of those places.

Wish they'd put a non-Mexican joint there. Already have Rum House. With Jung's and the soon to be Banana Blossom remake, we'll have Chinese and Thai - we could use an Indian or Vietnamese place on this stretch.

I have to walk across Louisiana Ave for that.

But you're right - I always forget about Pho Cam Ly.

Surprised the burger place has stayed empty as long as it has. They put a decent amount of money into it.

Another Italian joint would be nice as well. Amici wasn't that bad, just had a bad rep I think.

Food was good, service was slooooooooooow. At least an hour and a half, even on days they weren't crowded. Wish they could have fixed that and stuck around.

I’ve eaten at Arana three or four times, friend of a friend owned it. We always enjoyed our meals there. Bummed that it closed.
