Why don't they sell gas double ovens? Or they do, but it's like 5% of the market.

I enjoy a gas oven for the broiler and am debating doing the range + double oven as opposed to a range/oven.

If you went from a gas oven to an electric oven, do you miss the gas? Do you prefer the electric?

I always had gas, when I purchased my house there was a brand new electric all in one. I will never have another one again. When you turn off the burner you have to remember to remove the pot or it will keep cooking for another 5+minutes. I have burned stuff in the past. Also the glass top always looks dirty and if stuff gets burned on the burner it is a pain in the arse to clean.

Most of the dual fuel ranges have gas, infrared, broilers and electric elements for the oven.

I don't think you will find a double gas wall oven. The UL tests are pretty severe for double ovens, we failed a bunch.

I have a gas/gas range and the oven is underwhelming. I think gas is too lossy, it basically heats a thick metal plate in the base and uses radiant heat from there. Every time it cycles on though there's a bit of heat spike.

You getting a Blue Star range?

I've always heard the gas cooktop/electric oven was the optimal combination, but I'm uncertain as to why. I think the electric ovens are more consistent, temperature-wise.

I have a gas cooktop and double convection ovens and have no complaints.

Just built a house. We have a gas range/oven with a separate single electric wall oven. Best of both worlds.

I don't have experience with gas ovens. I have a wonderful gas stovetop and two large electric ovens. Size matters in the ovens, at least for me.

My SIL had double gas ovens in a house they bought. She didn't like them and changed them out to electric over time. She has a gas stovetop.

They are. My gas oven is all over the place. The temp gauge is pretty useless. I have oven thermometers on each rack and there can be as much as 10-15 degree difference just between the two racks. I should add though that my oven is at least 20 years old so age is probably a factor as well.

Same problem here and mine is 2 years old, convection oven. So annoying.
