I've never been to either (I know). I've decided I'm going to try one soon. Which one is "better" in your opinion? I guess I'm asking which has better fried chicken, but overall food quality, too.

I read a review once about Willie May's that said the dude had better chicken from a gas station.

I thought that was harsh, harsh.

It's Willie Mae's Scotch House to be exact. Both chicken is about the same and both good. Willie Mae's has a top three red beans and rice if you ask me with great white beans as well. I believe her beans are better than her chicken.

Dooky Chase has great gumbo, stuffed bell peppers and her green gumbo on I believe Holy Thursday. Good veal grillades too.

I like them both. Dooky Chase opened in the airport. They both have haters but I guess everyone does.

To be fair, I've had some pretty good chicken from gas stations

I actually like the Krispy Krunch more than Popeye's

Go to both. They are around the corner from each other.

Personally, I like the beans and fried arts at Willie Mae's better. Especially the country fried pork chop with white beans.

I've eaten at Dooky Chase twice, and both times it was very good. I had fried chicken once, and once a pork dish.
I've never eaten at Willie Mays, but many friends & co-workers tell me it's delicious. One says it's the best fried chicken he's ever had.
