Set the smoker at 150, cut the meat into thin strips, lay it out, and let it go. Marinade beforehand in a standard jerky sauce. I like it chewy though.

I got the one I used at Rouses. I've gotten eye of round at Zuppardo's in Metairie on sale for less the $3 a lb. a few times. When it goes on sale for that price I usually buy 2 or 2 of them.

Yeah, that's great. Unfortunately gotta wait and hustle a sale. No beef less than $6.50lb at my local stores

I just left Rouses a few minutes ago and looked at the eye of round price and it is over $6 a lb. today. Caught it just right I guess.

I always check the store adverts, especially on Wednesday when they usually start their 3 day sales.
