Start with a in Boston Butt, either boneless or bone in, and get it sliced into 1/4" or 1/2" steaks. Most of the butchers in VP will do this for you. AKA - ghetto ribeye!

Friend,

quote:

NOLA isn't the only place in Louisiana

As our good friend, Walker Percy, would agree, there is only one place in Louisiana and it is New Orleans. Sure, Louisiana has many non-places: Covington, Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Monroe, Alexandria, Rayville, Houma, Vidalia. All of these non-places could be anywhere and are everywhere. They neither touch the spirit nor are characters in life. Their exact existence depends on the anywhereness of their location. They are loved only by a small portion of those who spent their childhoods there, which again, isn’t really a where but simply a filler for a geographic space. New Orleans, on the other hand, now it is a true place and it is unmistakable and its presence never escapes you, even when you leave its place to go to a non-place.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

The entire state of La is full of great people and stories. To deny that is to deny who we are in solidarity. We are La.

For whoever might care, my all time fave BBQ sauce:

For some reason L&P stopped making it about 20 yrs ago. But it's not forgotten, and has something of a cult following:

"It was the perfect sauce; a spicy, bold taste and not too sweet."

This page also gives a recipe, though I haven't tried it.

Here's an L&P commercial. I don't know why they put an English accented voice in a BBQ ad.
