We've got a bigger Ronco Showtime. The design is pretty good because it has 2 skewers that go through the meat. That means you don't have all those balancing problems you get with a single rod.
It can handle a 12 lb turkey. They're not hard to find, you just have to buy early. Only thing with turkey is you don't have what you need to make a traditional gravy.
I have an attachment that I got off Ebay that roasts peanuts and they come out great.
It does take up a lot of space, so you don't want to leave it on the counter.

If counterspace and cleanup are the only cons, I only have to worry about cleanup. I have the space. And they dont look incredibly hard to clean from the manual I have.
