Since you already have a WSM, get a Weber Performer or just plain weber kettle. You will have the best of both worlds.

I have A Weber Smokey Mountain, but I want to have another grill option that maybe doesnt quite so long to heat up. I grill on the WSM, but it takes time to get it lit and hot.

you think WSMs take a long time to get hot?

This is what I would do. If you're going to continue to do your smoking on the WSM, then you can do all your grilling on the kettle. The kettle is great for grilling with smoke, is easy to set up, and you can smoke very well on it.

Seems like a Traeger would have too much overlap with the WSM, and the Ceramic could be expensive. A kettle would give you the whole range from low and slow to searing and give you the flexibility you need.

If you want the charcoal option and want something that is great at grilling get yourself a Portable Kitchen grill. Will last forever! Thing is a beast!
