On another of my threads a poster mentioned Dixie chili. Actually it is from Newport, Kentucky, but that is close enough to Cincinnati that it counts. So I ordered some.
This stuff is good. It is much better than the other Cincinnati chili that I have eaten. For that matter it is even better than Bryan's. If you get the opportunity then give it a try.

What are your thoughts on the Varsity in Atlanta? They sell their chili in cans as well.

I've never been to the Varsity but have seen their food on television. To me their chili and Dixie chili looks similar in that it is a bit thin and not chunky. The Dixie chili has just a trace of pepper, nothing that will light you up, and just a trace of what I think is cinnamon. It is a perfect combination of hot and sweet.

Same as Skyline chili. Greeks took hotdog chili and added a few unique spices
