The Government store is completely worthless. They might as well stop carrying beer there.

Abita hasn't brewed anything that compares to those two with the exception of the Oyster Stout and that one never got bottled and it wasn't even really their beer.
Abita's Black IPA was unbelievably good. The Russian Imperial Stout and ESB2 were also very good.

(black ipa and rip were aroun spring 2011 and esb2 was late 2010)

Why won't abita make that part of their lineup? Make it seasonal releases, something.

It's one of the top 20 largest craft breweries, yet they don't make anything in rotation, to write home about. It's not like they don't have the space. They could easily scrap Jackamo, satsuma wit, abita light, etc... and bring in something good.

Because they don't care about being good, they care about making the least offensive product to the masses. They are a craft brewer with a BMC mindset

Avenue Pub in Nola tapped it on Tuesday, they still have some left...sipping on some right now...

It's solid...caramel and fruit notes up front, but I don't think worth driving all over town to find..
