Age? The reason I ask is the nightlife is fairly segmented that way.

MacDinton's for early evening drinks then it turns into a pretty live place. 20 somethings to creepy 40s and everything in between. crowd

Datz on S. Macdil its like a block away but you've done that. However, there are a ton of restaurants down there in S. Howard area. Most of which you can just walk in and grab a spot on the list or a table if you're early enough. Hell MacDinton's has great Pub food.

For quick food, I always liked Interbay Meat Market (known affectionately as the green store). It's a convenience store that has some pretty decent food for take-out. It has some good Cuban food, and they make a good Cuban sandwich.
