Stopping in Birmingham tonight. Will probably be staying somewhere downtown. Any good kid friendly places to eat?

Paramount may be a good option. It is a slightly elevated sports bar, food is very solid, also operates as an arcade bar so that is in a side room that they can go nuts in. Usually lots of kids. Place isn't overly big so it could get crowded quick depending on when you go, but there is always kids there.
Back 40 brewery would be another simple option with lots of space for them to run around, counter service and food is pretty quick to get.
Saw's Soul Kitchen or Saw's Juke joint are both easy to get to from downtown. Soul Kitchen has a good ice cream spot (big spoon creamery) walking distance away as well.
El Barrio
Pizza Grace
Moe's BBQ, Slice, and Hattie B's in the lakeview area.
ETA: plenty of stuff in Homewood and Vestavia/Mtn Brook as well that really isn't hard to get to from downtown, so depending on where you end up actually staying, could add some other options.

Paramount and Back 40 (unless it is raining) would be my top reccs too. Pizitz food hall might be a good option as well.
If you need something in the morning, the pepper place farmers market is worth checking out.

Yea, good add with Pizitz, especially if they can't agree on what they want.

If anyone wants 2 tickets to the Grease sing along at the Alabama for tonight, free to good home. Looking forward to the Princess Bride next Friday.
