The first year was just filets, lobster tail, and lobster mashed potatoes with a bottle of Dom I forgot to chill so I've come a long way.

I feel like slacker Our first Valentines Day We had a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's, and a heart shaped angel food cake I made from scratch that I also dyed pink and topped with pink Coolwhip. I'd imagine we drank some cheap arse wine to go with it, but I put that out my memory apparnetly.

I've never heard of take out from Olive Garden. I thought the allure was never ending bread sticks and a cheesy Italian atmosphere with Dean Martin playing. I didn't know bad food could translate at home.

We never go out for Valentine's Day.

Been married almost 20 years, and we've never gone out for Valentine's Day. We've hit Sunday brunch a couple of times on Mother's Day, but always went around 11 before church let out so it wasn't very crowded.

I've cooked some sort of steak and lobster dinner at home every year my wife and I have been together. I just try to one up myself each year.

I have this planned for this year:

quote:
Soup
Champagne brie
Bruno Paillard NV Premiére Cuvée

First course
Seared sous vide scallops over lobster risotto
2018 Olivier Leflaive Bourgogne, Les Sétilles

Second course
Steak au poivre, garlic mashed potatoes, blanched asparagus
2014 Heitz Cellar Linda Falls Cabernet Sauvignon

Dessert
Creme brulee
Taylor Fladgate 30 Yr Tawn

What's the best way to go about coursing something out like this?
