Carmel/Monterey

And Wineries in Paso Robles. Thinking of one winery and Firestone Walker instead of 2 wineries.

Been all over the state of California dozens of times over the past 5 years, but never visited any of those places :/

I do know Daou is in Paso Robles and I love their wine.

Carmel - Mission Ranch
Big Sur - Nepenthe

Enjoyed both very much on our trip. Drive and views at Nepenthe were incredible. Mission Ranch has an awesome vibe and great food.

Thanks!

I’ve been using Google Maps to see what’s along Hwy 1. I saw Nepenthe but haven’t looked it up yet.
Did you overnight in Carmel or Monterey?
We have a hotel res in Monterey but I’ve been flip flopping.

We stayed in an airbnb in Carmel, but we were there for the PGA golf tournament at Pebble Beach. I enjoyed Carmel over Monterrey, but that was personal preference and just depends on what you want to do. The beach was a short walk from downtown Carmel, and lots of shops/restaurants in town. I would recommend driving 17 mile drive as well.

Gotcha
3 years ago we did a drive through Monterey and walked around a bit. Then did 17 mile.
Ate dinner at The Bench in PB.
This time we have an overnight in the area. Just can’t decide where to stay.
