They have had one in harahan that I went to once. It's ok. I'd go to the local bbq places first like hillbilly, joint, blue oak etc.

If you're dying for bbq it would fill the need and it's better than voodoo

they do have a kids sized cup. That's what I get and just fill it up a couple of times. And the ice cream machine in Monroe has been down at least a month or so.

I got the lunch special one day a while back which came with the big arse cup. It's fine as long as you keep your expectations low.

The lunch came with pulled pork and some cheddar jalapeno sausage with creamed spinach and mac&cheese. It's fine as long as you aren't expecting greatness.

I believe they are all franchised so each store will have different owners/cooks.

They opened a store near my house in Spring TX. Terrible dried out brisket. I even asked for the "Fatty/moist" cut.

The one in Buffalo TX is decent given the lack of options between Dallas and Houston.

no its really smoked, ive seen it before

So if they have a pit and are slow cooking the pork and beef, probably in some very large smoker the has shelves how can they mess that up?

Is the pork and beef they use low grade?

I ate at the one in Laurel, MS during a business trip. Was probably one of the better chain BBQ meals I've ever had.

The problem with all BBQ restaurants is one of timing. BBQ is best when it is freshly cooked. You can go to the same restaurant and get either outstanding BBQ or almost inedible BBQ depending on the length of time between when the meat was finished and when it was plated. Whenever I find myself in a BBQ restaurant I ask what is the freshest meat rather than asking for something specific and hoping its not a disaster.
