Also, any list that does not include Cuvee Bistro is not valid. Great place.

And if you decide to go into Niceville, here is the best kept secret in town :

Went to The Boathouse Landing tonight and it was awesome!!!!! Hush puppies w strawberry butter to start. Smoked tuna app, pan seared grouper w lobster was great, everyone loved their entree,, no wait, dining on water, good prices, great service. Nice to get away from destin crowd and only a 15 min drive.

I visit Niceville a couple of times a year (have family there) and will definitely try this next time I'm in town. TY. I can remember when there were only a handful of restaurants in town and Po' Folks was considered fine dining. Now there are 46 establishments. It's hard to keep up.

Italian - Christiano's (not a tourist trap)
Seafood - Crab Trap, Red Bar (kinda touristy but the food is solid)

The Vue in Blue Mountain is a nice place with a diverse menu.

This is my favorite. Same ownership as Chuck's in Tuscaloosa.

Go to the Crab Island location, not the Destin Harbor location. You eat on a pier over the water, sipping brews and feasting on steamed Royal Red Shrimp and Crab Legs while watching the sun set over the bay. Lot's of boats passing by. There's even a fake pirate ship that cruises around there. Extremely cool place to eat. You can fine dine anywhere. Not many experiences like Dewey Destin Crab Island.

You're welcome.

+1, love that place. I'll eat there several times during vacation.

That's the one I've been to. I enjoyed. It's casual seafood with a good view. Be careful and don't miss the turn-off.

Magnolia Grill in Fort Walton is a great place we have been to for the last few years. It is a locally owned place in an old home with awesome food, prices (for what you get) and atmosphere. Another plus is they take reservations. Steaks are HUGE and cooked perfectly. A must!!! But a heads up, they only serve beer and wine

Seagars (in Sandestin) is good if you want to spend $$$$. I made DH take me since a friend of mine is a waitress there. We had some very good food.

Actually headed back to Destin tomorrow.

Cuvee Bistro is great. Actually, most of the restaurants listed by other posters are really good.

Brunch at Harry T's or McGuire's is great.
