Looks awesome. I've only ever made it with corn syrup.

I didn't really try pecan pie until I was an adult. I regret it every day

No, just no. You ruin one of my Granny's pecan pies with chocolate chips, you'd have been beaten

Yes! I was just thinking about making pecan pie, as I’ve never tried before. Thanks for posting

Do you like it better without the corn syrup?

I think it has more body. Also not quite as sticky sweet. Also the only way we ever make it.

One of those "Must be the best because Granny Made it this way" things.

I make it with Steens Cane Syrup. Actually I make it with their recipe on the jar. I love a good pecan pie.

I ended up back here to try a recipe with flour/corn starch as opposed to corn syrup and had a question. Does the jelly add a noticeable flavor or the is it something that most don't notice? Just curious how different types of jelly would influence the flavor.

Also first time I have ever seen vainilla and a 16oz bottle of it.

The jelly does not add any noticeable taste change from one type to the next.
