That is how we cook them. Good for zucchini also. Delicious.

I saute my onions and put on the side, crank the fire up and stir-fry the squash.
Good any way!

We use bacon grease instead of butter. I have always said the only thing yellow squash was really good for was to extend the flavor of whatever you put in it because there is no real taste to the squash. Same for butter beans.

Same here. I cut up a slice of bacon and brown it in the pan before adding the squash and onions. I leave the bacon in the pan. I sometimes add a little grated cheese at the end.

I don't agree with this. I like the taste of yellow squash and butter beans.

You just boil them by themselves and eat them?? bland to me. I like yellow squash as described in this thread and in some casserole dishes I have had. I like butter beans with fat back or sausage but not by themselves.

No, I don't eat boiled squash. But when I am grilling veggies as a side I often use yellow squash coated with olive oil and some salt and black pepper.

Did some like this along with zucchini and shrimp in a wok this week.

Delicious and was a great side dish for 3 meals.
