You'll get downvoted for this but I agree with you. That "Surf and Turf" poboy was terrible. The gravy killed the entire sandwich. The bread was great and the shrimp were great, but that roast beef and gravy is trash. Four of us ate the same thing and all thought it was awful.

Does anyone know how long Parkway Bakery was closed down before it renovated and reopened?
I don’t think there was a parkway anywhere else - there was/is a Parkview tavern on Carrollton but I don’t think it was the same place. There was another Parkview restaurant/bar on Canal St that used to have hamburgers and then it moved a little farther down on Canal Blvd.
