Forced to attend a dance recital at the river center this evening. Going to eat somewhere prior to the show.

What nearby that’ll make a great meal around 4:30pm?

Capital city grill is nearby
The downtown development district needs to establish a restaurant district downtown and encourage a good mix of resturants and bars....what they have now is kinda pathic...
Your building hotels but there aren't many food or bar options downtown

Poor Boy Lloyds. I know this place gets a lot of hate on here though.

I like it but I don’t think I’ve ever been for dinner.

Rocca’s And Elsie’s up Government. I had a very good white pie at Rocca’s a couple weeks ago.

Its just a rough area to make it in. If I owned bars/restaurants here in BR, you couldnt pay me to go downtown.

You have no crowd Sunday to Thursday and the Friday and Saturday crowd right now is not the most desirable clientele.

Was downtown last night and the options for drinking are pretty slim.

I agree it's a very tough market to make in...
But the DDD needs to be more progress they make downtown way too BORING....
When you start counting sonic, raising canes,mc donalds, subway, frost top, and ,Jimmy John's as downtown resturants you have a real problem...
I think it's past time for new leadership at the DDD...

Ended up driving over to Chimes. Endured a monsoon, including the Highland road river rapids, but the meal was as good as always.
