It was closed for remodeling (I tried to do a pick up order last week).

From eating their buffet, their food is Bay Leaf quality and muck cheaper.

The paper sign posted on their door while they were closed looked a little suspect and I wasn't sure what to make of it at the time.

(kitchen issues?)

I've yet to give it a go, but I'm still repulsed by memories of that atrocity called Cupid's which was in the same location.

Maybe their cooking equipment failed or their hood system wasn't up to code

Lots of issues it could have been

I remember talking to the guy that opened Cupid's and he said something about a code issue having to do with something that was grandfathered into the restaurant that had been there previously but it didn't apply to him as a new establishment and it would cost a large amount of money to bring it to code. He was unware of it when he tried to open and closed because of the issue.
I seem to remember it had something to do with running some sort of line to the street or something like that--maybe for a grease trap or something?
Maybe the same issue popped up for Curry N Kabab?

He was a cook at Bay Leaf according to a guy that used to work with me that knew everyone at Bay Leaf.
