Crying Eagle is never mentioned here- do they not have one brew that's above par?

From my experience, no. I had the Pistol Bridge Porter and Hop Blooded IPA when they first came into the NOLA market. At that time they were $7.99/6 and that was about as much as I was willing to pay.

The ready to mingle I find to be good

From what I read around here, no. Most are ‘meh’ on their canned offerings. From personal experience (I am far from a beer maven), their taproom is solid. Great spot to hang out if nothing else.

The taproom is nice and a cool place to hang out, but the beers are average at best. The best one I had there was hop blooded all the juice, it was ok but nothing I would buy in the store.

The beers on tap are better than their canned stuff. Really good atmosphere, food truck round-up every month, live music every week (I think), yoga classes, and a great outdoor area.

They went the opposite route of what I’ve seen from most start ups. They basically built anheuser busch lite before they even had a quality beer line up. Ballsy, hope it works out for them.
