I didn't boil any but I went and picked some up from Sammy's and they were mostly small to medium size, hardly any big ones. Maybe it's because it's so early in the season? I dunno...

Had 4 pounds this weekend from Captain Sids in Metairie, they weren't too bad size wise. Ended up paying $3.85/lb......if you bought 10# or more it was $3.50.

They were $4.25/lb at the restaurant we went to Saturday night. They were small and ok tasting. I was very happy when our friends picked up the check!

My son is in the restaurant business in the Dallas – Ft. Worth area. A friend of his who is the manager of a Pappadeaux jokingly told my son that he hoped the Saints didn’t make it to the Superbowl. He said because if they did the price of his live crawfish would go through the roof. He felt like everyone in Louisiana would be boiling crawfish this weekend and partying. I jokingly told my son to tell his friend (who I know) that we would now have to put some gris gris on him.
