So I am thinking about getting my first set up and have read through several threads on here. It seems the jet burners are very popular with a few people claiming the Bayou Classic Kick a Banjo Burner makes less noise and is equally effective in boiling the water and returning to a boil.

So are the banjo type burners equally effective or are those folks delusional? I would love to not have the noise of a jet taking off.

Never used a banjo burner but you've eliminated a double jet burner as an option with this comment.

I have a double jet burner with a 60psi regulator and I love that it sounds like a jet engine and might take off if I flipped it over. I can see how some people would not prefer that though, but it's very fast and convenient.

Then go make a cold sandwich in the kitchen.

The roaring of the double jet is part of the ambiance.

I have no issues with my banjo burner . I can hear other people talk while drinking beer and waiting for the boil . Found it on sale for around $ 80 .

My homemade jet burner will boil twice as fast as my banjo burner.
