It's my dad's 90th birthday next week and the family has rented a lodge at Coushatta state park. We are heading down next Wednesday. Are there any good breweries or bottle shops in the area?

Shreveport has Great Raft and Seventh Tap which are both great.

Flying Heart is in Natchitoches. Their beers aren’t the best, but they’re not bad and I think the setup is nice. They took over for Cane River Brewing a year or so ago.

ETA: Grayson’s BBQ in Clarence is can’t miss for sure.

Not in Red River Parish. You need to bring your own supplies, unless Bud Light is satisfactory, or be prepared to drive 30 to 60 minutes to Natchitoches or Shreveport.
