Does anyone know where I can find some if it exists? I lived in the Keys this summer and I'm starting to crave it. I know you can buy it online but I'd rather go get it fresh. TIA

You might find it frozen, but fresh is going to be real tough... The only place I think I remember seeing it was at Jason's seafood place on Airline a couple of years ago. What about Tony's, have you checked there?

You can get it here - they will ship it to you. I've gotten stuff shipped to me before and it was always high quality.
Joe Patti's
You also made me want some conch salad. I lived in Miami for a few years and always got fresh conch.
I know you wanted fresh, but I really don't know if you will find it in BR.

I looked on their website and they didn't list it, but I haven't been. I'll look into Jason's as well.

Thanks! $10 a lb is way better than I'd seen anywhere else online.
I love it, I think people are leery of it but it's damn good. The Conch Shack on Duval St. in KW was my favorite place. They pounded it out real thin and fried it, then served it with Bahamian pink sauce. It was great.

Yep.

You may want to try some spanish markets in Baton Rouge if Tony's doesn't have it. Or you could call up one of the seafood wholesalers in Baton Rouge. They should have it frozen. Two that I know of in Baton Rouge are Louisiana seafood exchange in south Baton Rouge or Seafood sources in north Baton Rouge.
If you are ever in New Orleans Resturant Depot has it as well as the seafood wholesale places there. In New Orleans there is Louisiana Seafood Exchange, New Orleans Fish House, Vincent Piazza, LA Best Seafood, Inland Seafood, etc. One of those should sell to the public.
By the way, I think it will be almost impossible to find it fresh. You will have much better luck finding it frozen.
