Thanks guys. That looks pretty good. Probably could work in Lafayette.

Next time you're in Nola, put it on your list. I'm not usually a sandwich person, but I'm becoming one when the sandwiches are as good as theirs, among other products. I have a severe addiction to the sweet potato habanero sauce Butcher makes. Bought a dozen bottles on my last visit.

If anybody is interested, they are doing another pig roast on June 26.

Pictures from the last one...

I see my sister in a couple of those pictures.

They spent $4,000,000 on that location. I don't think he's closing that fast. Foods good. Service needs work. And Butcher most definitely should be included and should have been from the get go.

He has investors who won't be that quick to pull the plug if for no other reason than the mortgage on the building. And their pockets are a little deep or deep enough to ride it awhile.

Hope not. I just made reservations for the 26th. They are doing whole pig outside with all you can drink beer/wine for $50 per person.

For his investment, i hope so. I pass twice a day in front of it. Last friday, 12:30, there was 10 cars in the parking lot. there were more employee cars than customer cars.

Gris, me and the wife have been to the N.O. Cochon also. It was lunch, we split an entree, I had the grits side dish, loved it, and would return.

We didn't get the feel of mis-management at all.

But, I took my family to eat at Cochon in Lafayette after church one day, and although I liked it, the rest of the menu was not conducive to bringing the kids again.

I took note of a very good bourbon selection in the bar from the menu, but I've never been there at night, and don't quite see it as a "night life" place, although it could be, based on location and other factors.

Cochon needs some marketing/branding help here in Laffy, regardless of how good the food is. They need to establish a local identity. Only then will the people come.

I don't know if this is true or not but I've been underwhelmed every time I've been.
