zombie, i doubt he would have said anything if they hadn't tried to screw him with that BS charge
i agree with him. he had every right to say something as would i
quote:
he was just going to chalk it up to mediocre chimes food
he said it was too salty and tasted bad. that doesn't sound mediocre, that sounds like a dish that should be remade
quote:
all he wanted was for them not to charge extra for something THEY screwed up by not stating correctly.
like i said, i agree. i just want to know what words were exchanged between him and the manager.

you were a little harsh
yeah i probably was. i just wish people would explain the stories clearly so people don't rush to judge.
i'm still curious what was said between him and the manager

I am guessing he told the manager that his special menu looks a little mis-leading in regards to the price abd the sauce and the food I just ate really wasn't all that good.
The managers probably said, oh well.
He probably told the mgr to fck off and stormed out.

Just FYI, I worked there for a couple of years while at LSU. While I don't defend it, the Chimes won't and doesn't have to apologize for its mistakes. Overall, your business as one person isn't needed and they know that. They don't advertise and yet they make a killing. Like I said, no defense, but just don't expect exceptional service/customer service.

Only explaining the rational behind the behavior that would be fixed at any other place in town.

i stopped going to the chimes a long time ago after i found my last three meals very average to overrated .. i used to like drinking at the chimes east, but now the bulldog on perkins has filled that bill ..

Last time I went it was probably one of the better meals I've had at Chimes. My fiance' and I both had the fish specials for that night: she had the drum special you were speaking of and i had the blackened Mahi with a shrimp, tomato, and basil cream sauce - it was surprisingly very good. Throw in a few pints of Abita Select and some boudin balls and it was a pretty good meal. Once we got the bill however, my finace' was quick to point we could have went to Louisiana Lagniappe for $10 more.
