It’s not yankee. My mother made it all the time. It’s basically a chicken stew.

Add some cubed up Tasso to the mix. Makes it even better.

Make a roux. Brown some Trinity. Brown some chicken thighs. Add chicken stock and let it cook. Pretty simple and easy yet one of my favorite meals ever.
