One of the great backwater eateries in the state. Known for frog legs, fried chicken and onion rings.

Supposedly closing in July.

I'm sad about Chester's too. It's a near museum piece. But the construction of elevated 90 could not have been good for business.

We ate there for my birthday a few years ago. It was pretty meh. Everything tasted like they used the grease for a few too many days. Damn shame though. Was an institution for a long time. I think Bourdreaux’s in Chackbay May have closed too. Their food was damn solid right up to the last time I ate there.

Long live Trudy’s in Kramer!

That hamburger steak!!

They have some damn strong po-boys too.

My in laws are goo-goo over their fried chicken but I'm not to wild about it.

ETA; I also like how you can walk to the cooler and get your own beer.
