where Champp's used to be in Towne Center.

Thoughts?

I really don't foresee a local restaurant being able to sustain the rent there.

Just an idea or fact, because that'd be great.

I never had a bad meal there when I lived in Atlanta. The menu is huge, but they seem to do fine with it. If they put one in towne center it would be packed all the time. It would be worse than the wait at PF Changs.

i would probably go to it about once per year. food is ok. reminds me of copeland's a little bit with the ridiculously large menu. i prefer places that have a more limited menu so that they can focus on perfecting their signature dishes.

The last time I ate there was 4 years ago, maybe 5, but yeah I had some solid dishes. Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp, Orange Chicken, and some kind of Asian salad come to mind. If it's gone down hill the past few years I wouldn't know

Maybe 10% Most everything is made from scratch.

You can't fit a cheesecake factory in the old Champps, CF requires 2 prep kitchens alone and a dishwasher room to itself. A 800sqft freezer just for cheesecakes and a line kitchen...and storage room and break room/locker room for employees. Add the managers office and the cafe where they display the cakes and make coffee....

It wouldn't work.
