Old place we're going to try for an outing.I hear good things,have any of y'all been by chance. It's soft shell crab season finally and that is my target.

We love Charlie's. Big menu with lots of good steak and seafood dishes. Portions are huge. It's nothing fancy, kind of your typical country steakhouse/restaurant.

Friend just bought a camp out that way, and we stopped in on a Sunday on the way home 2 thumbs up! Catfish platter was very good and the beer was ice cold. Definitely will be back. Get there early if you are going on a Sunday, place was packed!

Get there early when every other old person in a 20 sq mile radius goes! Always very busy. Great for what it is!

I had to go look that place up. Turns out I've driven past it for the past 3 years or more and never saw it. Even worked out of the neighborhood behind it a few times but only saw the Lagniappe when I drove through there.
Unrelated, but I ate at the bar across the street from there a while back. Smoke was thick, but they actually had a pretty decent burger.

I stopped there about 10 years ago after a fishing trip and ordered a "New Orleans style shrimp Po boy"
The thing was pathetic. It was literally 6 shrimp in a single file line on a hot dog bun! I had a pic of it somewhere it was so ridiculous. I never went back but it has a following over there.
