Corn, tomoatoes, fried fish, potatoes. I cant find one I don't like so I would certainly try it. Saying that it is crap without trying it sounds more stupid if you ask me.

Think about a nicely battered piece of white fish, hell, make it catfish.

Fry it perfectly, toss on paper towels to drain, season it....and then logically, next, toss that shite in stew?

Wtf? These threads aren't an insult to your intelligence?

Funny thing is that if Anthony Bourdain posted this then you would all be jumping to try it.

I don't know if you're referring to everyone who said they wouldn't be a fan, or just certain people, but I don't care if Santa Claus and Jesus tag-team-cooked this stew.. wet fried fish is not something I'd be into.

Nice photos. And I'm glad MD liked it. But I think it's okay to point out that it's out of the ordinary and you wouldn't like it.

If flaky fried fish in soup form was widely considered yummy, seafood gumbo would probably include it.

Sorry, I saw it more as a use of leftover fried fish. Sort of like the origin of bread pudding. Im not saying someone would fry fish just to make stew but if you had some lying around, this doesn't seem like a worse alternative than throwing it away.

I agree with this to some degree but I have never agreed with people saying they don't like something without trying it. If that were the case then chicken and waffles, french fries and ice cream, mayo and banana sandwiches, etc would never have taken off.

I like bananas, anchovies, beets and gummy bears. Therefore if you put them all in a pot it'd probably be delicious.

What logic!

I'm not backing down and none of my posts are saying that I am. I am simply saying there is nothing outrageously crazy about this dish and that you shouldn't knock it until you try it.

Come on R2R. You know that is far fetched. At least the others are in the same realm.
