What was the original Po' boy made from? Beef? Shrimp?
There can only be one, right?
Bad example.
Is the sandwich you pick up from Subway a Po' Boy?

So the drink
“Dirty VODKA martini” doesn’t exist?
Sure, it's just not a martini. It's a vodka cocktail served in a martini glass.

It's actually the perfect example.

I don't think even Subway has the gall to call any of their sandwiches a Po Boy
So which is it? Beef or Shrimp?
Only one can be a po' boy.

A shrimp po' boy, isn't a po' boy, its just shrimp served in a bun.
Or vice versa with beef.
Pick one.

It really isn't. Your statement is akin to saying a "'sandwich' can only be made with one type of meat between two slices of bread. Which is it, ham or roast beef?"
As far as I'm aware, the first historical references to the po' boy generally stated that they could be filled with whatever type of protein someone wanted. Roast beef and oysters were the most common.
That's unlike the martini, which expressly started out as a gin cocktail with specific ingredients.

Why not? It's a sandwich that's even shaped like a po' boy.

Again, flawed analogy. See above. Weird flex.

Nope. Only the oringal is the po boy. Fried clams apparently.
All the rest is protein in french bread.

Well, the credited inventors claimed that one could order any type of meat, so they would disagree, unlike the inventor of the martini who said it had to have gin.
Why do you claim it has to be French bread? You seem to be arguing for a loose standard. It would seem to me that if I follow your logic, two slices of wonderbread would work fine for a po’ boy.

I just got plastered on a red Bull & vodka
But with gin instead of vodka
Edit
I’m going to conduct an experiment and log every restaurant or bar I go to and order a “dirty vodka martini”
I’ll log whether or not they
-immediately know the drink and make it,
vs
-they tell me “I’m sorry sir that’s not a martini...would you like a vodka cocktail with olive juice in a martini glass?”
Betting it’ll be 100% make it
