Anyone here try it? I’m a little hesitant to spend $50 on a bottle to try it out. Don’t really see any online reviews of it.

A little spicy/hot was the takeaway I had from it.

I am not a bourbon guy but my dad is. Bought him some since it's a local distillery. It is only aged two years I believe. He said it was good for being a "young" bourbon but does have a bite at the end and is not as smooth as a more aged bourbon. He did say he liked it and would like to try it when they release a 3 or 5 year.

Are they going to age it this long? The problem in hot climates is if you age much longer than 2 years the tannins start overwhelming the flavor. I don't know if any of the Texas distilleries that have been around a while age much longer than 2 years but maybe I am wrong.

My opinion is it’s not worth the price tag, not close. I do like their Irish Channel whiskey though.

For a similar price point, JT Meleck has a much better locally distilled/aged whiskey. JT Meleck’s isn’t considered “bourbon” though, so not a 1:1 comparison.

For the price, there are SO many more bourbons at that out there at the same price or cheaper to go with.
