Have a couple huge clients from East Texas coming in Thursday and will be bringing them to lunch between 11-1pm. My problem is I am OCD and Take forever to choose where to go. I’m almost as bad as my girlfriend when it comes to picking a restaurant.

I’m looking for a good place between Highland and College. Nothing downtown. I’m sure they’ll want to eat steak, possibly some seafood. I was thinking Sullivan’s, Texas de Brazil, Ruth’s Chris, etc. For the life of me I can’t think of many more restaurants in that area to pick from. Me and the girlfriend don’t go out to eat in BR much anymore so I’m not “hip” to what new or older restaurants that are awesome that I’m not thinking of.

Can y’all help a baw out and give me some suggestions?

* Needs to be between Highland @I10 and nothing past College. (Absolutely not downtown)

* No sushi, nothing too ethnic

* Steak, lamb, possibly seafood.

If they want steak, go to Ruth’s Chris. For the love of God, don’t go to Sullivan’s.

Yea, the last time I went to Sullivan’s was almost a decade ago and the quality was terrible compared to what I remembered.

You’re overthinking this. Just go to Ruth’s and call it a day.

If you definitely want steak as an option at lunchtime, then I’d stick with Mansur’s or Ruth’s Chris (IIRC, Juban’s doesn’t have steak on the lunch menu). RC has an otherwise boring menu, but they do steak well (and of course it’s the place to see and be seen in BR, if that matters to you).

Sullivan’s is absolute garbage and has been for a long time. Quality issues aside (they’re no Fogo de Chão), TDB is terrible for a business meal because you’re constantly being interrupted (getting up to go to the salad bar, the servers moving around with the various meats, etc.).

Ruth’s Chris it is then. It’s actually been a year since I’ve been there. We used to go a lot. Like you mentioned their menu is rather boring but they’re steak is outstanding. Great cuts that are aged perfectly.

INB4: Rouses has a better cut of meat

Ruth's or Stab's Prime. I'd go to Stab's because you'll get the fine dining experience plus the novelty that it's not a chain. But that's just my opinion.
